Conceptual Research & Visual Storytelling:
Understanding Misunderstandings

Developed as a research-led design project, this study explored the complex human phenomenon of misunderstandings. Presented as a two-volume set in a custom slipcase, the work bridges the gap between narrative storytelling and analytical research:

  • The Narrative Volume: A collection of historical, often humorous anecdotes illustrated in a free, collage-based style.
  • The Analytical Volume: An exploration of the origins and structures of miscommunication, visualized through rigorous, technical-style illustrations.

Even two decades later, this work remains the bedrock of my design philosophy. It established my ability to translate complex, abstract topics into coherent visual narratives – a skill I apply daily to bridge the gap between technical data and accessible communication in my current projects. It demonstrates my enduring commitment to combining analytical depth with precise, aesthetic execution.
